The history of 2020-2021 shows that the public health field is vital to humankind. “Inventing Public Health” teaches students about the roots and evolution of the idea of public health with an emphasis on the last few centuries in Europe, the US, and beyond. That’s a history of dramatic change, for certain; but this course sometimes suggests the more things change, the more they stay the same.
