Featured course: PSCL 385 Emotion and Aging

“reason, conclusion – emotion, action” by Will Lion is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 2.0

We have all experienced emotions. But do you know what emotions really are, where they come from, what they do, and importantly how they change across the lifecourse? These are important questions to address because, without emotions, we wouldn’t be able to deal adaptively with challenges, know what we love and what we dislike, nor be able to form and engage in relationships. Additionally, our emotional experiences and understanding can change across the lifespan and continue to develop well into old age. If you are interested in learning more about the nature of emotion and the development of emotion in adulthood, then ‘Emotion and Aging’ is a good place to start.

This course will be offered as a remote-asynchronous course during the 5-week session from June 1 to July 2.
